Kanji guess what it is?

Telling the time should be a simple numbers game, but this watch from Twelve 5-9 will tell you the hour with a twist. First came the LED watch. It arrived on our wrists purpose-built to confuse and distract with its flashing disco lights and strange, mystical time-telling ways. Now, Twelve 5-9 has served up the Version L, a funky new LED watch with a taste of the Orient. No, it isn’t made from octopus, nor does it taste of soy sauce.

The number markings along the edges of the Version L have, in fact, been replaced with kanji. Say what? Kanji, these attractive Japanese characters represent hours down the right hand side of the watch and minutes down the left. So, not only will your mates be mesmerised by the Version L’s LED trickery, you can simultaneously teach them the wonderful world of Kanji symbols. Who said gadgets weren’t educational?

The Version L will set you back just £60 and you can place your order over at www.tokyoflash.com.
