Digitus Ring
Published by square. October 31st, 2007As electronic technology advances to the sub-micron level, it’s hard to imagine what kinds of things will exist in the future. Designer Charles Windlin believes we’ll see inanimate objects like rings take on highly compact and intelligent devices. The Digitus Ring concept holds 1,400 magnetic spheres each able to rotate in place. Micro computer circuitry controls which spheres turn to show their darker colored sides. A ring can suddenly tell time and possibly when your wedding anniversary is all without the use of power hungry LCD screens.
