Whirpool Plug-and-Play refrigerator
Published by square. January 22nd, 2008Whirpool has taken wraps off its new Plug-and-Play refrigerator, which is based on their ‘centralpark’ feature. The nifty centralpark device is actually a multi-gadget dock that allows you to plug in a range of different gadgets onto it. The Brandmotion iPod Speaker system is able to withstand the frequent opening and closing of the freezer door and holds your iPod safely.

Maybe I’m just a strange computer scientist but I have no desire to have a computer built into my fridge. I’m all for ubiquitous computing but I don’t see the benefit this time.
