The Kid-Pod: Nestt car seat
Published by square. January 31st, 2008Car seats are so hard to deal with, or so we hear. We haven’t been in one in a while. The designers at Think/Thing were tired of having to hunch into the back seats of their cars adjusting straps as their children screamed. Their solution? The Nestt car seat, an egg-shaped contraption that you can swivel and adjust with just one hand. Its skeleton is a steel safety cage that provides side-impact protection for babies. Though pictures make it look like a pie-in-the-sky concept, the designers made sure it complies with Federal Motor Vehicle safety standards. With its colorful and luxurious memory foam cushions, we’re betting that when it hits the market the Nestt will replace luxury strollers as the new must-have baby accessory.
