Archos have just updated their range and now have bought out the impressive Archos 5 and Archos 7. The Archos 5 now comes with hard drive capacities of 60GB, 120GB or 250GB, with the Archos 7 having 160GB or 320GB. There is also a HDMI slot so you can easily plucg this into your HDTV and watch shows in High Def.

Samsung Innov8

Samsung have announced their newest belter of a mobile phone. Its called the Innov8 to focus on the big 8 megapixels on the camera, it also has autofocus and a dual LED flash, plus an image stabiliser, panoramic stitching, face detection and a number of other features.

When we look at the the multimedia player in the Innov8 there is a huge choice in supporting video/audio formats including - DivX, WMV, MP3, H.263 and H.264 video plus MP3, AAC/AAC+/eAAC+, WMA, AMR and RealAudio formats. Other features worth mentioning are that it has A-GPS (Assisted GPS), is a Symbian phone and to add that little bit extra it has an accelerometer.

Excitement is mounting about the Olympics in Beijing. This extravagant arrangement has been constructed to show off Beijing’s growing environmental friendliness. The Greenpix Zero Energy Wall stands at the Xicui entertainment complex near the site of the Olympic Games.

The Greenpix wall uses a combination of the largest color LED display technology with a photovoltaic system, which allows the wall to burn only the energy it produces itself. This will go live later this month.

DVD-D Disc destroys itself

German DVD-D Germany Ltd. offers a DVD disc that deletes itself after 48 hours. This limited time DVDs are already on the market in France, Italy and Scandinavian countries.

The DVD-D movie discs come in sealed cardboard sleeves. Only when you open the sleeve the time starts to count down. If you leave the DVD-D disc inside the sleeve you can keep it even for years. How exactly the deleting of the data stored on the DVD-D is not disclosed. It is some chemical process that starts when the disc is exposed to air outside the cardboard sleeve protection.
